FASTING MAKES YOU STRONG!

A few minutes ago I drank one glass of carrot and apple juice! I was very happy to drink this juice because it was my first portion of food after my annual ten days and eleven nights of fasting. Ten days and eleven nights with no eating and drinking only distilled water are finally over!

In 10 days I did to empty exactly 10 gallons of distilled water.

It was not easy. If I got up from my bed too quickly I felt a little dizzy on some mornings. I had to work every day at my job to pay my bills and then go to the boxing gym to train my fighters at night.

But it was worth the sacrifice. Nothing great comes easy. Now I feel like a million dollars, thanks to hard work and fasting!

I fast because it helps me to be very strong, which is important in the Mecca of professional boxing – the United States of America! In this country if you have a big goal, you have to be very strong mentality and physically. It is especially important for me because I am an immigrant and want to compete for the same goals that hundreds of people that were born here also want to compete for.

Getting out of fasting is a challenge. I must be careful not to eat too much or I will become sick. This is not easy because I want to eat a lot, but I must endure and be careful. Today in my food allowance is a couple of glasses of fruit juice and two small portions of salad. The salad is made of chopped cabbages, tomatoes, cucumbers, green apples, carrots, olive oil, and lemon juice. Tomorrow afternoon I will eat a light fish broth…..
