More than three years ago a Russian boxer from Kaliningrad, Vladimir Ivanov, contacted with an American boxing trainer, Michael Kozlowski, who lives and buildings his Champions in the New York, and asking to help him in boxing technique and footwork to reach a higher level and get into the Russian National Team!
Due a issues of finances the trainer and the boxer did not have the opportunity to meet and work together. So all these years the trainer helped his Russian student from USA through the Internet …
And, thanks to such trainings russian boxer Vladimir Ivanov got a certain growth in technique, which could not but affect the results!
Despite the fact that Vladimir was left without medals at the last two Russian National Championships, he was enrolled in the Russian National Boxing Team!
Upon arrival in New York, again, in view of financial problems, Vladimir Ivanov began to live in to the trainer’s family, like, years before him, other boxers was living in trainer’s apartment, such as the Michael Kozlowski’s Israeli student the WBA Professional World Champion, Yuri Forman; student from England the 2008 European Champion and the 2012 Olympic Champion, Luke Campbell and student from Ukraine the 2012 European Champion, Yegor Plevako …
Now the trainer and student are working in the same boxing gym and the “Coach Mike” is confident that the work will go much faster!
Many thanks to Timofey Kurgin for the invaluable help that made it possible for the Russian boxer to improve their skills in America !!!
The successful businessman Timofey Kurgin is the former student and first Olympic level student of Coach Mike’s. He was the first ever of Michael Kozlowski’s big prospect in boxing who was living in the trainer’s apartment!
